About Us...

The Floral Park Historical Society was established in late 1999 to increase knowledge of and interest in all subjects relating to Floral Park’s history.  The Society promotes historical research and educates village residents as to the history of Floral Park and preserves for posterity: places, buildings, landmarks and objects of historical interest in Floral Park.  In addition, the Society acquires by purchase, gift or device, historic articles.

The Society meets once a month from September to June in Centennial Hall, located at the intersection of
Tulip Avenue and Carnation Avenue in Floral Park.  Members need not attend meetings to retain membership.  Meetings are open to the public or prospective members and are announced in advance by mail, postings and on our web site. There is no charge for attending.

Year-round activities include Field Trips to historic sites, professional programs and tours, workshops, exhibits and social gatherings.

We welcome all donations, monetary or otherwise such as physical artifacts, old posters, postcards, directories, photographs and the like. Donations are tax deductible.
