     The Floral Park Historical Society meeting dates for September 2009 to June 2010 are listed below.  Our regular monthly meetings are held at Centennial Hall located at Tulip and Carnation Avenues unless specified otherwise.  Please note that programs may be subject to change.

Monday, September 14, 2009 - 7:30 p.m. Centennial Hall.  Guest:  Navy Veteran Bill Holleran.  Pearl Harbor Survivor.  Hometown Floral Park "My Recollections".

Sunday, October 4,  2009 - 12:30 p.m. Carpool from Centennial Hall.  Oheka Castle Tour - $15 per person.  Reserve by September 30.  Tour 2:00 p.m.  Checks to Adele Werthmuller, 34 Daisy Avenue, Floral Park.

Saturday, October 17, 2009 - Albany Historic Hudson Trip.  Guided Tour of Hudson River Panorama Exhibit.  Contact Historical Society of East Rockaway & Lynbrook.  Reserve before September 10.  Call 516-593-5791.

Monday, November 2, 2009 - 7:30 p.m. - Centennial Hall.  Bayside Algonquin Indian Heritage presentation.  Details to be announced.

Thursday, November 12, 2009 - 10th Anniversary Dinner Party.  6:30 p.m. at Bob's Place Restaurant, 230 Jericho Turnpike, Floral Park.  Entree (3 choices) dessert, soft drinks, coffee/tea.  $35 per person.  Dressy Attire.  Reserve before November 1, 2009.  Checks payable to Floral Park Historical Society.  Mail to Ann Corbett, President.  113 South Tyson Avenue, Floral Park, NY.

December - No meeting.

Sunday, January 10, 2010 - New Year's Luncheon.  Details to be announced.

Sunday, February 7, 2010 - 2:00 p.m. Centennial Hall.  It is My Honor to Meet You...Mr. President.  Bill Corbett, guest speaker. 

Sunday, March 7, 2010 - 2:00 p.m. Centennial Hall.  Show & Tell Road Show.

Sunday, April 11, 2010 - Car Pool from Centennial Hall.  Polish-American Museum Trip.  Port Washington.  Details to be announced.

Monday, May 3, 2010 - 7:30 p.m. Centennial Hall.  Annual Meeting/officers elections.

 

 

BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETINGS

 

The Board of Directors of the Floral Park Historical Society usually meet at 7:30 p.m. on the fourth Monday of the month.  Meetings are not open to the public.
