     The Floral Park Historical Society meeting dates for September 2011 to June 2012 are listed below.  Our regular monthly meetings are held at Centennial Hall located at Tulip and Carnation Avenues unless specified otherwise.  Please note that programs may be subject to change.

PROGRAMS & EVENTS:   All meetings are held at Centennial Hall.

Sunday, February 5, 2012 - 2:00 p.m. - "Spotlight on Bellerose Village History" by Alan Woodruff, Bellerose Village Historic Preservation Commissioner.  Alan's new "Spotlight" program will give a glimpse of a small western Nassau County village with a rich and interesting history for our members and the public to learn about and appreciate.

Sunday, March 4, 2012 - 2:00 p.m. - Lecture by Natalie Naylor - Gatsby's "West Egg" and the "Slender Riotous Island" in the 1920s.  The Legacy of New Deal art on Long Island. 

Sunday, April 1, 2012 - Trip/tour of historic landmark.  Details to be announced.

Monday, May 7, 2012 - 7:30 p.m.  Annual Meeting.  Election of new officers and President's Annual Report. 

BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETINGS

The Board of Directors of the Floral Park Historical Society usually meet at 7:30 p.m. on the fourth Monday of the month.  Meetings are not open to the public.
