“Picturing History: Between the Brushstrokes”

A Chronicle of the People, Places, and Historical Events Portrayed in Pictures

Dear Floral Park Historical Society Members and Friends,

On Sunday, April 7, our society will host a program about Picturing History - A Chronicle of the People, Places, and Historical Events Portrayed in Pictures.

Our Speaker will be Phil Guarnieri, noted American and Political History Enthusiast. Mr. Guarnieri is the former Mayor of Floral Park, Executive Leader of The Floral Park-Bellerose Republican Party, Secretary of the Nassau County Republican Committee, Adjunct Professor of American History and Government, Author of three books and numerous articles, former Columnist for local newspapers, and Director of Human Resources for The Town of Hempstead. Come see handsome prints of famous paintings from his collection. Hear factoids and trivia about historic scenes depicted.

A reminder: This year our FPHS is celebrating its 25th Anniversary! Keep in mind that our museum is open for Docent Tours by appointment - adults, young people. Times are flexible. Just call 516 775-4539/516-532-1518.

The society is always grateful for donations of photos, paintings, documents that make our archival collection complete.

Thank you for your ongoing support,

Ann V. Corbett, President
